VINCENTIU GRIGORESCU  |  series exhibitions

LE TELE I
Grigorescu's sense of black remains astounding: in the vibrations of tone, in the variety of combinations, in tonalities warmed up by ivory black. They respond and listen to one another as if they were part of a piece of music slowly played.Grigorescu touches the supremacy of black which radiates outward – in an almost paradoxical way – the entropic force of this color.

STRATI
The exhibition Strati  proposes a dialogue between the various stages in Grigorescu’s work, where the surprising volumetric approach, almost sculptural, of the black is completed by the rhythmical structures, reducing itself in the geometric game, to explode afterwards in layers of colored energy, able to literally unravel the canvas in rhythmical fibers and dense layers of matter.

LE GRANDE TELE
In this exhibition is exposed a phase which – almost metaphorically - features coincidences and superposition of his ideal formation in art and in life in a way similar to how his large canvases meet and superimpose their layers one over another. These large opaque and rough surfaces – which sometimes remain raw and sometimes are worked with various strips, white, gray or pale, like pages of a life intensely lived, will overlap as if the artist would have intended to withhold and reveal at the same time the underlying surfaces which are teeming with memories alleviated but not removed.

LE TELE II
The exhibited works close the series of "tele" of Vincentiu, concluding that the space and form of his works are definitely suitable in different area.

The artist was well represented in a solo show at the art fair Vienna Contemporary and succeeded to make part of the exhibition Abstract Expressionism Behind the Iron Curtain which will take place at Jacksson Pollock Museum NY.
DIET SAYLER  |  in Tate Collection
The previous year brought out the succes for the artist to become part of the permanent TATE collection with three of his works. The works can be seen at Tate Modern London in the section Contemporary Easter European Art (aici sa-mi spuneti dvs cum se pot vizualiza, daca se expun in vreun cadru?)

Diet Sayler's works are also part MOMA permanent collection, NY and Albertina Museum.
EMERGING YOUNG ARTISTS
PETRICA STEFAN has his first solo show in the 418GALLERY space. The canvases exposed proposed an encounter between the beholder and images of parallel dimensions. The virtual spaces he imagines are infinite and chromatically diverse.
STEFAN RADU CRETU was proposed to a future exhibition at the Beelden Aan Zee Museum, Holland, museum of which collection he makes part of. We are happy to update you for future details if you think to visit this exhibition.
