BIOGRAPHY
Cristian Raduta, born 1982, studied at the National University of Art in Bucharest and achieved his master degree in 2007. Since 2005 he served as a teaching assistant at the same institution. Based on a scholarship he received in 2006, Cristian Raduta spent two years at the Accademia di Romania in Rome. In 2013 he became a PhD in Visual Arts at the National University of Arts in Bucharest.
In his work Raduta likes to analyze the process of metamorphosis of primarily well-defined forms into new aesthetical dimensions. On the other hand he is interested in studying the meaning of usual objects, finding the special balance of forces, new perspectives of interaction that transform common issues. It might look like playing games, but the game is mature with much depth. The materials he uses are mostly glass fiber, plaster and special tissues.
