BIOGRAPHY
Cristian Raduță, born in 1982, studied at the National University of Art in Bucharest and obtained his master’s degree in 2007. He has served as a teaching assistant at the same institution since 2005. Based on a scholarship he received in 2006, Cristian Raduță spent two years at Accademia di Romania in Rome. In 2013, he completed his Ph.D. in Visual Arts at the National University of Arts in Bucharest.
In his work, Raduță enjoys analyzing the process of metamorphosis, wherein well-defined forms primarily evolve into new aesthetic dimensions. On the other hand, he was interested in studying the meaning of ordinary objects, seeking a delicate balance of forces, and new perspectives of interaction that transform commonplace subjects. While it might appear akin to playing games, the approach he takes is mature and infused with considerable depth. The materials employed were mostly glass fiber, plaster, and special fabrics.
